Wood Sign Commission

I made this wood sign for a good friend's mother (for her birthday). I measured the heart and reconstructed it in Adobe Illustrator in order to create text that fit the sign perfectly. Once I had the text the way I wanted it, I converted the file to the format needed for laser engraving. I laser engraved the text into the sign, sanded it, and then painted the sun on the sign with acrylic paint. I layered gold glitter in the paint for a fun effect.
