Biography

My name is Callie Bucchino and I grew up in the mill town of Uxbridge. I took an interest in art and design from a very young age. I taught myself design computer programs in middle school because I wanted to learn new ways of creating.
In 6th grade, I began using a camera to capture the world around me and gave viewers a different perspective of the world. My parents knew that I needed more than a regular public high school education. My parents introduced me to the idea of Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational High School where my father had attended school. A tour of the school convinced me that it was “BVT or Bust”.
I received my acceptance letter into the school of my dreams. I pursued the trade of Multimedia Communications and excelled in my class because I had already taught myself editing software. While attending BVT, I competed in the Skills USA District Competition of 2015 and earned Silver in Photography.
I graduated from BVT in June of 2017 and attended Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA where I graduated with a B.A. in Health Sciences and a B.S. in Forensic Criminology.
While I love science, I can't imagine my life without art and design. I've completed many projects from my time at school and working for the print & marketing center in Staples.
